This heating element kit generates the heat needed to dry clothes in an electric dryer. The coiled resistance wire is housed in a metal frame and heats the air as it passes through the dryer drum. Replace this kit if the dryer runs but produces no heat, takes excessively long to dry clothes, or if the element coil is visibly broken.
