After using the crushed ice feature on my KitchenAid French Door refrigerator, the ice maker wouldn't stop dispensing ice, crushed or cubed. I thought it had to do with the paddle switch being stuck or something else in the door, but all door components seemed to be working as intended. I ended up pulling the ice maker out and disconnecting the wires to the auger so that I could leave the refrigerator plugged in.
