Todd P Kaysville , UT March 18, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2568AEW12 Icemaker failed to fill with water I ordered a new solenoid valve set and watched the online video of the replacement process. So after emptying my freezer and fridge, removing the doors and freezer drawer, so I could mover the fridge out of its cove, I discovered after taking the panels off the rear, that my fridge is different than that shown in the video. I went back online and discovered in one of the exploded views of the cabinet there is a panel inside the refrigerator which can be removed after taking the shelves out of the right side. Once I had the shelves out the panel easily snapped off when a screwdriver is used to release the retaining clips. With the cover off the valve was fully exposed and accessible. I snapped the valve out, released the Festo type water connectors, inserted the tubes back into the new valves, snapped the assembly back into the retainers, put the cover on, the shelves back in and reloaded the food. It took me about three hours to do this, but if I had only seen the drawing of the cabinet and not watched the video, it probably could have been done in about 20-30 minutes including unloading and loading all of the food. Icemaker works great now. Read More... 59 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
John Y Franklin , TN October 20, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2569VEA10 Water valve inlet water pressure in dispenser was almost a heavy drip I found your video tutorial on YouTube and then ordered the correct part from your website. I got the part in recored time and set about to replace the unit. However the Issue with my Maytag is the valve is not in the back of the refrigerator at the bottom like on your video sample. Mine is inside the fridge behind the shelves under the filter. I removed the shelves and removed the cover plates (clips, no screws). The valve is snap fit to the wall. I removed the water tubes and replaced with the new valve. Turned the water back on to check for leaks - none found. Re-installed the covers and shelves and checked the water in the front door dispenser. Wow...what a water flow now! Thank you for video and quick part ordering. I will use your services again. Michael H Virginia Beach , VA April 20, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG FRENCH DOOR, FREEZER ON BOTTOM No water at door or ice maker It hade a blockage in the water tank head assembly, I ordered both , the water head assembly and the daul water valve . Was going to return water valve but could not figure ot how to get it off without damaging the plastic seats so I replaced both. It was no problem to do and took me all of about 45 minutes, and that included emptying the fridge. This site is a big help, you can ask questions and I shoped around for the parts and they had the best price, but the best thing more than price is they will let you return any part so for me that is good. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros I have many rentals and I will not go anywhere else Read More... 21 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Adjustable Wrench, Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers

Checked out all wiring decided problem was in ice maker timer.Called back talked to Sidney she ordered the part I asked for (ice maker assembly) got part Saturday.Glad I watched DIY video, please note in the videos the appliances are all new and clean, parts remove easily and go back in easily, My refrigerator is 10 years old some of the parts it seems had grown together and were a little hard to remove, but with persistence and a small hand gun(just joking) Ice maker came out just like video. Installed new part, turned on ice maker had ICE in 45 minutes(no joke) and every 45 minutes after until bin was full which meant Sunday (Fathers Day) there was plenty of ICE for lots of Drinks. Michael C Fairfax Station , VA November 22, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2067AEB12 Water trickled out of water dispenser and did not make ice but sounded like it was working Replaced the valve and water tank/head assembly. Not 100% sure i needed to replace both, but both were still cheaper than paying someone to come fix my fridge!! And it worked perfectly. Entire project took less than 45 minutes. Valve was simple to replace, and water tank/head assembly, while a little tricky to get out was also simple to install. Water dispenser and ice maker working perfectly now, so a very worthwhile project.
