The Gas Valve Cooktop is an OEM part for Bosch cooktops. This valve is responsible for controlling the flow of gas to the burners on the cooktop. It opens and closes to allow gas to pass through when a burner is turned on and stops the flow of gas when the burner is turned off. 

Causes of a bad gas valve can include wear and tear over time, issues with the valve mechanism such as stuck or blocked components, or damage from exposure to moisture or impact. 

Symptoms of a bad gas valve include:

• Burners not lighting or sparking repeatedly without igniting 
• Uneven or unpredictable burner flame heights
• Burners not getting hot enough for cooking
• Burners that cannot be turned on or off
• Gas leaks around the valve area

This gas burner jet holder assembly routes fuel through the orifice to the burner and secures the connection. The red 11,000 BTU version is designated for the right-front or left-rear burner, helping restore proper flame and heat output.

• Positions the jet and routes gas from the manifold to the burner for the specified heat output
• 11,000 BTU, red-coded variant designated for RF/LR burner location
• Provides a stable, serviceable connection between tubing and burner base for a consistent flame
• Symptoms include weak or irregular flame, failure to ignite, or incorrect flame size at the RF/LR burner

• Shut off gas supply and power; allow the appliance to cool before servicing

The Spark Switch is an OEM part for Bosch ranges. This part ignites the burners by sending a signal to the spark module, which then produces the spark needed to ignite the gas.  

Causes of a bad spark switch can include wear and tear from regular use, damage from spills or cleaning agents, or electrical issues.  

Symptoms of a bad spark switch include:

• Burners not igniting
  Continuous clicking even after the knob is turned off
  No spark when attempting to ignite the burner
  The cooktop not producing a flame
