• Element will not heat

I ordered 2 bake elements and bulbs and was able to easily fix 1 of the ovens. The serviceman who repaired the left oven did not repair it correctly so, one of the wires was not accessible so, I could only fix one oven. After shutting off the power, I EASILY fixed the right oven - with a LOT of care and a little elbow grease - in disconnecting the broken element, by doing exactly as it said to in the video, making certain not to allow the wires to slip back into the hole that it was pulled... Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). Little procrastination paid off. With only 50% capability I knew it is time to call the appliancepartspros. They shipped me parts within 3 days. It was practical to fix both at the time. All I needed was to disconnect power at range breaker box, grab a screwdriver to lift top open, a 16 inch or so piece of old 2×4 wood to keep the top top of stove lifted, so I could access heating elements from underneath. These are very easy to replace ,just gave the old one a quarter turn lifted it out took the two wires off (noted where each one will go on the new burner ) pop the wires onto the new burner put it on and good to go. Read more

I replaced the hinge due to the hinge spring breaking. To replace the hinge you do the following: 1. Disconnect power to stove, either at circuit box or at outlet. 2. Lift door off of outside hinge arms ; no screws are used to attach the door to the hinge 3. Remove two screw on under side of cook top, one on each side. 4. Disconnect cook top connector. 5. Lift cook top off 6. Remove screws from top rail of stove that hold the side panel. 7. Remove the screw on the back that hold the side... Read more

• Door won't open or close

The replacement hinge unit arrived in just two days. The JennAire (Maytag) oven door is fairly typical in that it easily lifts off of the hinge bars. Once the door is off then removing two screws is all that's required to remove the hinge unit from the oven. The new hinge slides up into place and while you hold it up inside of its location putting the old screws back in is very easy. After sliding the door back down onto the hinge bars the oven is as good as new Read more

The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. One difficulty was that the threaded base plate where the legs screwed in had been damaged and had to be reshaped, I was able to reshape the sockets with some effort, to allow the legs to thread in, though one remained slightly angled. • Little to no heat when baking

The delivery of the element was superfast, less than 24 hrs. Unplug the Stove from the receptical! Took a phippips screwdriver and took out the 2 screws holding it, and tilted it upwards a bit and pulled the element out about 3 inches an unhooked the wires. Hooked the wires up to the new element and pushed it back into the holes and put the 2 screws back in and turned the stove on and that was all there was to that. Read more
