Fixes ice dispenser not dispensing or auger not turning. This motor assembly drives the auger shaft that moves ice from bin to chute. Moderate difficulty.
Replaced the motor, however not the easiest to do with the older refrigerators. First I had to remove the shelf that hold the ice bin. There is a small screw midway underneath the tray. Once removed the shelf is loose but still hard to remove. There is a side panel that is slotted andonce removed the shelf can then be removed, but not knowing that it is a very odd fitting unit. Removed screw from mullion, lifted mullion up a little and then unclipped the wires. Replaced mullion , hooking wire clip back together first and then lined up the areas that hook back on fridge. Also removed left door by removing top hinge screw from fridge top(hinge stays screwed on top of fridge door), and unclip wires and water line if there is one just by unhooking clips.
