The Oven Bake Igniter is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ovens and ranges. This igniter is responsible for sparking the gas or electrically heated bake burners in the oven. It ensures reliable ignition of the burners to provide consistent, even heat for baking.
Symptoms of a bad oven bake igniter include:

Replaced ingniter. Unlike some of the repair videos I saw, I could do everything by removing the lower draw, and in fact access from the back of the stove was not an option on my Amana. Pulling the stove out and fussing around turned a likely ten minute job in to a twenty minute. Unit work great, now I just need to keep tabs on the broiler igniter, which may be on the way out as well.
