• Leaking

I took all the food out of the fridge, and tilted the refrigerator 30degrees to the left (if looking straight at the fridge). I unscrewed the cardboard backing, and moved the drip tube from the drain pan. I unscrewed the 4 screws for the drain pan, and the 2 hex screws holding up the metal plate on the left side (becuase there is a lip on the metal plate that holds the pan in). Then I could slightly pull down on the metal plate and pull the drain pan out. Then popped the new drain pan in. Read more

Replaced water reservoir, filter assembly, and water line via the provided instructional videos. The only problems I had where that the water line video had a different fridge layout (filter assembly was perfect), and the inevitable leak on one of the sharkbite-style connectors. Used a muiltimeter to test all parts and ohm'ed out all parts. found out condenser fan motor seized up [open winding in motor] replaced that, and found that also caused the compressor overload and relay to fail, from over heating and over cycling, replaced both parts, powered up the refrigerator retested all electrical parts checked amp reading on all parts under load conditions,works good know, hope to get another 15 years out of this refrigator, its a maytag. over 20 years old. After doing some research, I guessed it was either a faulty defrost timer, defrost thermostat, defrost heater, or some combination of those. Using part location diagrams for my Amana BC120TW I started by looking for the evaporator coils since they obviously weren't producing enough cold. Upon removing the evaporator coil cover, I found the evaporator coils frozen into 1 solid block of ice. I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly. I pulled the washer out and found that one of the fill hoses had kinked when I pushed the washer back in place. There was also some writing on the hose that read "Change hose every five years". • Door won't open or close

Temporarily stuck a BMW lug bolt through the bracket and pivot opening to secure the door on the base, then waited just 3 days for the exact parts to come in from AppliancePros. At first, I suspected the evaporator fan motor was going bad, but when I went in to check it out, I found the evaporator coils totally frozen up; the fan was cavitating. I defrosted the coils completely and checked everything out. By process of elimination the Defrost timer had to be the culprit. I unplugged the timer and sure enough, the motor winding was open.
