Amana Finish Guard Switch (Rotary, 2-Position)

This rotary on/off switch controls the dryer's Finish Guard (also called Wrinkle Guard/Wrinkle Shield) feature. Replacing it restores proper control of the post-cycle intermittent tumbling that helps reduce wrinkles, preventing the feature from being stuck on or off.

Provides 2-position on/off selection for the Finish Guard/Wrinkle Guard function
Failure can cause the feature not to engage or to stay on after the cycle ends
Knob may feel loose or fail to click when the switch is worn
Mounts in the control console and interfaces with the external selector knob

Disconnect power before servicing
Access through the control console; remove paneling as needed
Transfer wires one at a time or photograph connections for reference
Reinstall using the existing knob and mounting hardware
