Amana Washer Latch, Catch, Lock Parts

The part is so new no video so I went onto a similar part and watched video that got me about 80%. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. Did lots of internet research. Narrowed problem down to three things - door lock latch, control unit, and motor control unit. Figured out how to run the diagnostic test program, which showed a F22 (door lock) error. Removed and ohm tested the door lock (pins 1 & 3). Found door lock latch to be defective. ordered new one and installed it. YouTube video helped a lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SjU6k5bpSs So far, so good. Have only done a few loads. We watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door latch. Very simple to do. We had to remove the metal band holding the door gasket to be able to access the latch. After removing the band, we pushed aside the gasket and removed the screws to the latch and the connecting cables. To install the new part, we just reversed the process. We reconnected the cables, inserted the new door latch and screwed it in. The hardest part of the process was getting the metal band around the gasket. It... Read more

I removed the two screws and all the pieces that were broken. Went online to Appliance parts.com, searched for the part using the model number from the machine and ordered the part . part arrived in 2 days and with a Phillips screwdriver was installed in less than 5 minutes. Read more

I chatted with a rep on Appliance Parts Pros and found out which parts I needed for my model of dryer. Ordered the 2 clips that held the door closed. They arrived the next day!! My dryer was very different than the video but we were able to figure out which screws to remove. The old clips popped out and the new ones popped in. Took about 30 minutes because of there being a top and bottom clip to remove and replace and line up the door parts to screw the screws back in. It works great!! I... Read more

Removed and replaced the door switch. Best service I just watched their video on it and it was a snap ordering was no problem. Very easy got the switch and plunger when they said with no delays . Very good service I will come back if I need more parts with out hesitation thanks. Read more
