Bill D. for Model Number Whirlpool GU2300XTV/S2 We had a power outage from Hurricane Sandy. My dishwasher ran after power was restored, but now I have no power showing up on the control panel of the unit. Do I need a new control panel or circuit board or both for the unit. Please advise
Answer Bill, You may not need either part. First, check and make sure the electrical connections in the junction box on the dishwasher lower frame (behind the kick plate) have not shorted out or separated, due to the voltage spikes. Then check the control panel thermal fuse W10258275 and door switch WP8269209 circuits, a voltage spike can also effect these parts as well, and if either components are open or shorted, the dishwasher will act as if theres no power to it.
