This is a bushing made from black plastic with a cleft down the middle to provide enough flex for easy insertion. It has a flanged design, which means it won’t easily pop out after installation, even under stress from constant vibration. The bushing’s primary purpose is to protect wires and cables from damage as they pass through a channel. As such, the material is fairly durable and does not need to be replaced under ordinary circumstances. That said, there are some situations in which it can become damaged. For one thing, it’s easy to damage while repairing the wires or cables that run through the bushing. If the bushing does need to be replaced, it requires disconnecting any cables or wires that run through the bushing.
