This OEM sprocket assembly contains a sprocket, which is a circular gear with teeth that engage with the links on a chain to move the chain forward.A new sprocket assembly will be needed if the part is broken in any way or if the sprocket teeth are worn off. If it's not immediately obvious to the eye, a test can be performed to determine if a new sprocket assembly is needed. Simply move the chain and if at any point the chain becomes stuck, this means a new sprocket assembly is needed. Remember to wear gloves when operating or performing care and maintenance on any outdoor power equipment machines. This is a genuine MTD part sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. The sprocket assembly is compatible with trimmers manufactured by either Troy-Bilt or Cub Cadet.

This is a replacement string trimmer head that is used for a range of makes and models of trimmer. The head, sometimes called a cap, is placed on the bottom of the cutting head assembly. The glide cap is simple, but it serves an important function. It helps to keep the head from contacting the ground, so it is not damaged. The string trimmer head often comes into contact with the ground, roots, concrete, and other materials. Therefore, it can become damaged. It might crack or it could simply start to suffer from normal wear and tear after a lot of use. When this happens, owners should always replace the part sooner rather than later. If it is broken or not functioning properly, it could cause problems with the other elements in the trimmer. The replacement is simple and should not take users more than a few minutes to complete. The replacement string trimmer head is a genuine OEM part and it is sold individually. This part is for use only with string trimmers and is compatible with certain models from MTD and Cub Cadet.

This cutting head is designed for left-handed, gasoline-powered trimmers. The head contains eyelets for two sets of twine to effectively trim and edge. The assembly comes with a bump head knob so that twine can easily be increased. The knob and housing are made of extremely durable plastic that is at the same time responsive enough to respond to the user's call for additional twine. Typically, cutting assemblies work very well until a problem develops, at which time they stop working at all. Should it be necessary to replace a cutting head, the user should definitely make sure to use an OEM certified replacement. These are manufactured according to the same specification as the original. Users can replace the cutting hand by removing the cover of the trimmer's assembly. The old cutting head assembly should be able to be unscrewed. From this point, it is simply a reversal of the process, with the cover going over the new assembly and the assembly being reattached and covered. Several different manufacturers use this type of cutting head. Users will find it is compatible with MTD, Troy-Bilt, and Cub Cadet gasoline-powered trimmers.
