This is a Whirlpool oven control board. The oven control board sits behind the main user interface assembly. This board works in direct conjunction with the buttons on the interface to control the vital functions of the oven, such as bake, broil, and self-cleaning. Telltale signs of a malfunctioning control board are smells of burning plastic coming from the interface and losing one or more oven functions. Immediately discontinue using the appliance if a shorted control board is suspected. Begin installation by unplugging the oven from the power source.
