There are multiple uses for the 5/16-18 Hex Screw. It is often used with small gasoline-powered yard equipment such as lawn and garden machines. While hex screws such as these may be used in edgers and snowblowers, the most frequent use this screw is in yard tractors. This variety of screw is commonly used in attaching the various appendages of gas-powered equipment to a central operating platform. In particular, these hex screws are used to secure the engine block of power tools to the frame or housing of the equipment. Once in place, these fasteners have an almost unbreakable strength to them. This is so much so the case that often, in order to detach the engine manifold and repair the inner workings of an engine, the bolts must be chiseled or cut loose. In such cases, it is necessary for the bolts to be replaced during reassembly. Manufacturers insist that genuine OEM replacement parts be used in the rebuilding process. These replacement parts were manufactured to the same exacting specifications used to make the original screws. These OEM screws are compatible with equipment made and sold by Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Husky, MTD, Bolens, and Yard Machines.
Recoil spring for gas and grass line trimmers. Holds the pulley in place and assists with starting mechanism. Replace if damaged, broken, or worn out.
This is a replacement cutting chain designed for the pole saw attachment on a string trimmer. It wraps around the guide bar and performs the actual cutting of branches and limbs. Replace the chain if it has become dull, stretched, or has damaged or missing teeth, resulting in poor cutting performance or difficulty making clean cuts.
This genuine replacement part is a MTD 8” bar for use with chainsaws. This chain bar is for use with chainsaw attachments. It is used to provide a seat for the chain. It is responsible for guiding the movement of the chain, the chainsaw's cutting element. A properly functioning chain bar is essential for the safe and reliable use of a chainsaw. The chain bar may become worn out or damaged due to extended use, and will require replacement. Wear on the guide bar is usually most severe on the underside of the bar. Remember to check the bar periodically to spot any wear or damage. Prior to working with this part, please refer to the original product manual for a full list of included parts and installation instructions. A wrench or allen key may be needed for installation of this part. Please note: For safety, always wear gloves and ensure unit is powered down prior to performing any installation or repair. This high quality OEM replacement part is sourced directly from the manufacturer, and it is sold individually. It is made of high-quality durable metal. This part is compatible with Troy-Bilt and Cub Cadet chainsaws.
Few parts fulfill as many roles on lawn mowers and other landscaping power tools than the cover screw. This screw serves to attach metal housing parts, assemblies, and shrouds to one another on equipment such as power vacuums, snow blowers, edgers, tillers, hedge trimmers, lawn tractors, leaf blowers, grass trimmers and cultivators. As these are extremely durable metal screws, they seldom fail under ordinary use. It should be noted, however, that they are most often used at connection and pressure points. Stresses at these junctions sometime loosen screws, causing them to be lost or occasionally resulting in stripped threads. It's also occasionally the case that these screws are lost during repair or routine maintenance of yard equipment because of their small size. Users should make sure to consult their owner's manuals for replacement steps and any special instructions. Because of their small size and the ease of losing them during repair work or maintenance, it's recommended to keep a supply of appropriately sized screws on hand. Most importantly, when replacing a part make sure to use a genuine OEM replacement part. They are manufactured according to the specs of the original parts and are perfect replicas.
This is a fuel pickup filter that sits inside the fuel tank of a chainsaw or small engine. This ignition module generates the electrical spark needed to ignite the fuel-air mixture in a small engine, typically found in string trimmers and similar outdoor power equipment. It converts low-voltage energy into a high-voltage pulse sent to the spark plug. Replace this module if the engine fails to start, misfires, stalls intermittently, or produces no spark at the plug.
This OEM sprocket assembly contains a sprocket, which is a circular gear with teeth that engage with the links on a chain to move the chain forward.A new sprocket assembly will be needed if the part is broken in any way or if the sprocket teeth are worn off. If it's not immediately obvious to the eye, a test can be performed to determine if a new sprocket assembly is needed. Simply move the chain and if at any point the chain becomes stuck, this means a new sprocket assembly is needed. Remember to wear gloves when operating or performing care and maintenance on any outdoor power equipment machines. This is a genuine MTD part sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. The sprocket assembly is compatible with trimmers manufactured by either Troy-Bilt or Cub Cadet.
This is a coiled rewind spring that fits inside the recoil starter assembly of a string trimmer. It stores the energy needed to retract the starter rope after each pull, allowing the engine to be started repeatedly. Replace this spring if the pull cord does not retract on its own, feels loose, or if the spring is visibly broken or unwound.
Starter won't pull freely or rope doesn't retract? This recoil starter spring retracts the pull cord and activates your engine. Simple DIY repair in minutes.
Genuine engine cylinder for gas line trimmers and outdoor power equipment. Houses the spark plug and piston to create the combustion chamber. Replace if cracked or worn.
This carburetor mixes air and fuel for your gas trimmer's engine. Replace yours if it's clogged, damaged, or leaking to restore proper fuel delivery.
Piston ring seals the space between piston and cylinder wall in gas-powered outdoor power equipment engines. Replace if worn, cracked, or causing smoke.
Engine won't engage when pulling starter rope? The starter pawl bridge connects the flywheel to spin your trimmer's engine. Easy DIY repair.
