The Impeller is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It plays a crucial role in the dishwasher's operation by creating the water pressure needed to circulate water through the spray arms, ensuring dishes are thoroughly cleaned during the wash cycle.
Over time, the impeller can become worn or damaged due to regular use, the presence of debris, or exposure to harsh detergents. This can result in decreased water pressure and ineffective cleaning.
Symptoms of a bad impeller include:
- Poor cleaning results with dishes remaining dirty
- Unusual noises coming from the dishwasher
- Low water pressure or weak spray from the spray arms
- The dishwasher not completing its cycle properly
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
