The Dishwasher Door Spring is an OEM part for Frigidaire dishwashers. It helps to balance and support the weight of the dishwasher door, allowing it to open and close smoothly and safely. The spring ensures that the door remains stable at any angle, preventing it from dropping too quickly or not staying open. This spring, 8" in length, is sold individually.
The door spring may need to be replaced if it becomes worn out, stretched, or broken. Causes of a bad door spring can include frequent use, excessive force when opening or closing the door, and general wear and tear over time.
Symptoms of a bad dishwasher door spring include:
- The door dropping open quickly
- Difficulty in keeping the door open at various angles
- The door not closing properly
- Unusual noises when opening or closing the door
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
