Dacor Refrigerator Parts

My fridge was too cold - everything was freezing solid, even in the produce bins. The air from the diffuser vent was constantly running. After unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in, the diagnostic code on the control panel indicated that the air diffuser was not working. • Leaking

Thought leak was coming from icemaker but refrigerator was making ice just fine. had puddle on floor just below freezer door. upon closer inspection realized leak was coming from drain line. there were 2 pieces of tubing and the connector. leak was coming from where tubing goes into connector. wanted to replace it. didn't know what it was called. did live chat with someone I think was named James. he sent me diagrams and I could identify the part. once identified I ordered it. boom.... After trying to stop leaks with glue, i figured I should replace the drip pan, It took a little effort to get the fan out of the way but once that was taken care of the rest was simple. Total repair took slightly over 1 hour. Would have taken longer had I not already have taken the freezer apart on a previous occasion. Therefore I already knew the sequence and was able to disassemble it quickly. A little tricky getting the part out but easier to get it in. SImple repair for anyone mechanically inclined. Read more

Replaced the water tube that went from the plastic tubing to the ice cube tray. Found that even though it was the same exact length as the original, there was only an extremely small gap from the end of the tube to a splash board. This may have been the root cause of my problems. Read more

First I emptied and cleaned out the entire refrigerator. Then I unplugged and defrosted the unit. As that was happening, I vacuumed out the back compressor area. ( the noise reduction pad disintegrated so replaced) , Googled the problem, and watched a youtube video on how to test and fix the issue. The right door on our Jenn Air French Door Refrigerator would pop open & not fully close when the left door was closed first. Evaporator fan was loud and eventually quit. This allowed the freezer temp to rise above 18 deg. which they activated the PF code. Replacing the evaporator fan motor fixed the problems. Read more
