How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4356478 / 316462868 Clock Timer (Electronic Assembly)

Replaced clock/timer, watched video on parts order page it took me step by step it took less than 30 minutes to do repair, video was very important part of repair 

I had replaced the sensor 8 months ago. Tested the resistance (Ohms) this time and it was the correct value. Only item left was the oven control module. 

We originally hired an appliance repair service, and they diagnosed the issue. The company was supposed to give us an estimate before they ordered the part, but instead they ordered it first and called us later, threatening to charge us for the part when we declined to schedule the repair. A quick Google search brought us to appliance parts pros, where not only was the part much cheaper than the local company wanted, but a repair video gave us the confidence to attempt the repair ourselves. The part arrived in two days. We took the back panel off the oven using a square head drill bit. Once the panel was off, we unplugged every connection from the old control panel, with the exception of the grounding wire. We had to first unscrew and remove the old control panel in order to work the grounding wire off with a butter knife. Then we pulled off the front display panel and used the adhesive already on it to attach it to the new control panel before screwing in the new part. Plugged everything back in, reattached the back panel, and started it up. We then celebrated saving $100 by successfully completing the repair ourselves. 

Ordered part and son and husband installed and reconnected oven. Had to install new connectors to plug into board. Also cleaned wires. It now works as good as new. 

I called and explained the problem and you diagnosed the problem as being the control. I ordered this part and had it installed by an electrician. You were right- my oven is now heating up again. I like the fact that you are available 24/7 and that you really know what you're doing. It's a breath of fresh air to find competent people these days. Thank you for your help.

Called a wonderful assistant at your company and told her the problem. She knew exactly what part was needed. Once we received it we simply watched the recommenced video and installed the part. Thanks for the help !! 

With both burners out, it seemed unlikely it was the burner so we ordered the control board and a new overlay. We watched the video on the control board (clock/timer) page and even though it was a different unit, it was exactly what we needed to do, with different wires to change. Pro tip: take a photo of the wires before you disconnect so you'll remember what goes were. The hardest part by far was cleaning all the dog food and toys that were under the oven as well as the walls! 

Replaced clock board easy repair. Next day delivery was a unexpected surprise. 

The heating elements were working, but the temperature control was not working properly. Suspected a bad temp sensor or bad control board. Watched the video on how to check the temp sensor. I did an ohm check of the temp sensor and it checked good. I did a visual inspection of the control board and found discoloration from a burned circuit. Replaced the control board and performed an operation check. Everything is working fine now, so the Thanksgiving turkey is back on the menu!
