How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005965 / WP2180226 Control Bracket

Bought the part and put it on. 

Watched the video and reviewed Q&A’s. Those gave me confidence going into the repairs. Excellent company, they supply all the info to do repairs. The only issue I had was with the shipping company, AppliancePartsPros handled it for me and had parts in hand overnight...great service!!! 

I watched the video on how to remove the panel on the door to get to what I thought the problem was as suspected the bracket that holds the micro switch was broken. I ordered the new bracket and a few days later I removed the old and installed the new one, I reassembled the switches and installed the front panel and we once again have cold water dispensing from the door. 

Duck soup. Ordered the part, watched the video, did what is said to do and in about 10 minutes the bracket was in, the door was reassembled and my wife is once again thankful she married such a brilliant man! 

Well, the bracket has a couple of plastic pins holding a micro switch in place and they broke after years of use. I removed the cover ( just pops out ) and unscrewed the existing bracket and affixed the replacement part provides by ApplianceParts Pros. I have used this company in the past and was pleased with their service so ordered my part from them. Then just pop the cover back in place. 

Replaced auger motor. Was not the problem. Pulled off the front and plastic parts fell out. Found three of the four pins for the ice maker microswitch were broken off. Replaced bracket and all works fine.

Ordered your molded plastic part that holds the dispensing switches. The pins that holds the ice dispense switch had broken. By following your video that you sent me, I was able to repair it. Thanks! Saved me big bucks for a tech to repair it. 

I got online and accessed the "AppliancePartsPros.com" help site and did an inquiry as to how to fix the problem. The video showed me what the problem most likely would be, I followed the online instructions and found the advice on the video was correct. I found the model number of my refrigerator, looked up the part, ordered the part, received the part and finally, installed the part as per the instructions on the video. I now have a working dispenser
