How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011444 / WP77001094 Oven Bake Element

Opened door removed two screws with cordless drill, pulled element out about 4 inches disconnected two wires & reversed procedure with new element 

After cleaning out the destroyed element and cleaning the interior of the stove I went on line to order a new baking element - I first went to EasyApplicanceParts website and had a great deal of difficulty getting the right part. Finally went to ApplicancePartsPros and ordered the proper replacement part - arrived in a day and finished the installation. All is well now. 

Unplug the oven first! Do not work on oven until it is unplugged!! Take out oven trays next. Took out two phillip head screws. Pull out element slow and make sure wire comes out with it. Disconnect wires and be careful not to let them go back through oven wall. Remove element and install new element and trays. Then plug oven back in and you should be done. 

Replaced element which was delivered to me from Albany warehouse 2 days after I ordered it. Very good service. Thank you. Bob Barr

Replaced with new part from APP. 

Removed old element (2 screws and 2 solder-less connectors ) and installed new. 

We googled our make and model # of the stove and your website was one that was most helpful. The video gave us the confidence to attempt the replacement and it worked out great. We would most likely look to you for further projects. Thanks 

All of the credit goes to the repair video on the Appliance Parts Pros website. Changing the heating element is relatively simple; however, the video warned that the wire connectors could easily slip back into the holes. Knowing that, I clamped the wires once each were disconnected. Job took less than 10 minutes.
