How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008107 / WP3363394 Whirlpool Direct Drive Washer Pump

We ordered a switch plug and a water pump because your website told us that it was either one of those parts. Our order was delivered within a couple of days after our order was placed. We downloaded the directions from your site and low and behold it was the switch plug which my maintenance guy tried first. The washer works like nothing ever happened. We were so happy. I wonder if I can send the water pump back to you since we didn't even touch it for a credit in the amount of $32.06. It is still in the plastic. I will definitely order from you again. What a good experience for a change. You deserve 10 stars out of five! Thank you so much for your guidance! June 

Watched the on-line video. The repair went just as the video stated. Would not have been so easy without the helpful video. 

First I hauled the washer outside. Then I removed the housing and verified where the leak was coming from. After determining it was indeed the pump, I did an online search for parts. I found the pump at AppliancePartsPros.com for only $28! Way cheaper than having to buy a new washer! After a short 4 day wait, I thoroughly cleaned everything, since it was dismantled. Installed the new pump and gave it a test fill. Voila! Back in business! 

I order a direct drive washer pump and hose for pump to drain. My favorite place to order replacement appliance parts. It is all good no more leaks. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros. 

My husband removed the cabinet. Turned the machine obits back. Removed the pump and replaced with new one. 

Opened up machine, ran a cycle, saw the leak. Looked up the pump part number, ordered part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Part arrived the next day. Pump was very easy to replace -- two hoses to disconnect, two clips held the part in. Put back together, ran a cycle to verify no more leak. Done. Quick and easy. 

Replaced the drain pump. The video was very helpful! Shipping was delayed and when I complained the drain pump was overnighted to me. Now, I'll continue to use Applianceparts Pros 

I tipped it over on it's side and the took the 2 hoses off of the pump and then used a screwdriver to unsnap the 2 clips that held it in place. I didn't take the housing off from the washing machine because I was able to get the pump out easily without doing so. 

Ordered replacement water pump. It arrived before I expected it to get here, fit perfectly and works great. It took longer to unhook the hoses than to replace the pump. Less than 10 minutes total, not including another 10 minutes showing my wife that it would not leak again. 

I did check out some videos on YouTube, as well as the videos provided by Appliance Parts Pros. I followed their recommendations. I found that the water pump was indeed leaking, so I ordered the parts. After the parts arrived, I followed the procedures outlined in the videos and then put everything back together. Didn't take more than 20 minutes.
