David S Saugatuck , MI May 31, 2019 Washer was leaking from the tub when on still cycle Replaced the seal and the washer would not spin on spin cycle. The top cover was pushed to far down and was making contacts with the inner tub, not allowing it to spin. Move the top cover up about 3/8 of an inch and spun inner tub by hand to make sure it was not rubbing. Ran a load and saw that it was leaking. Found the clamp was not placed correctly on the seal. Placed clamp correctly and still had a leak. Put a bead of silicon on the seal and installed, let it sit for 24 hrs and then tried again. No more leaks. James B Dana Point , CA April 29, 2018 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer A710S Maytag washer wouldn't drain 1. Used plastic container to scoop most of the water out of the washer. 2. Disconnected hose from pump and put in bucket to make sure water was draining from tub. 3. Reached under washer and turned pump pulley to make sure turning. 4. Disconnected exit hose from pump, put end in bucket and ran water from drain end of hose thru hose to bucket to make sure hose not clogged. 5. Tried taking some slack out of pump belt by loosening three screws under pump and sliding to tighten up a little. With all hoses reconnected, still not draining. 6. Even though pump not frozen or leaking, figured only thing left in the water path that I hadn't checked. 7. Bought new pump and new belts. Received the next day! Installed. All works. A happy wife makes a happy life...... And the great Appliance Parts videos really help!
