Nathan A Houston , TX December 06, 2019 Buttons not working Easy and fast to repair, all you need is a screwdriver and maybe a set of pliers to disconnect the old switch membrane. There is a Youtube video online that gives step by step directions to make this repair. ***Word Of Advice***- Do not remove the 3M sticky covering until you have plugged in the new switch membrane and tested all the buttons to make sure they are working. The first switch membrane I order came defective with the 0,9 and 6 are not working. Appliance Parts Pros did me right by sending me a new one cost-free. I am still waiting on the part to see if the second order is working correctly. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Daniel G Covina , CA July 24, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool 30" Gas Slide-In GW397LXUS5 N/a The bake, timer option, and 3 numbers stopped working on the stove keypad. After some research, I figured I could buy the part myself and save me some money. Before I ordered the part I searched for prices and reliable vendors. I found out various places selling the part but nobody better than appliancepartspros.com. I read lots of the reviews they had on returns and warranties and they were unbeatable. Their customer service is outstanding and very helpful. Replacing the part wasn’t difficult, I have no prior experience with this issue and I was able to do it in about 30-40 mins and that’s because I was double-checking with a Korean video with English translation in YouTube which was very helpful. ( I recommend to watch the video especially on how to remove and install the keypad which is kind of tricky and you want to make sure doing it right ).e Everything else is simply just removed 2 screws on the side is the stove controls, 4 screws after removing the knobs and 4 under the controls after opening the oven door. I took a picture before I unplugged everything just to serve me as a guide when putting things back together and replaced the keypad. Read More... William L Greensboro , NC February 09, 2018 Appliance: Model GW397LXUS3 Whirlpool gas range keypad not working Called an appliance repair company to make the repairs. They replaced the keypad twice and that did not fix the problem. They recommended us to buy a new range, as it would be cheaper than replacing the controller. I let that sink in and shopped for a new range. Found AppliancePartsPros while the installers turned the install into a science project. Ordered the controller and keypad, installed the parts and had cornbread for supper. Saved about $600 by taking the task on. The difficulty level indicator on the parts page was a great help, with my confidence. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Roman K South Lake Tahoe , CA October 19, 2015 Appliance: Model JENNAIR GW397LXUSD Numbers on jennair oven/range stopped working I ordered the switch membrane, it arrived in just a couple of days. - Unplugged the oven/range. - Unscrewed the the two screws that hold the control panel housing to the oven. - Then disconnected the pin connectors from old switch membrane from the circuit board, you can then just push the old SM (switch membrane) away from the faceplate with your fingers (you can do this in the area where the clock would be). - Peeled off backing from new SM, connected pin connectors, put the housing back on oven! We had a working oven again :) Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
