This is an ignition coil, also known as a starter coil, responsible for transferring the low current from a battery to the spark plug to create a spark that will start the engine. Designed to increase the intensity of ignition energy, the ignition coil steps up the voltage and can be considered as one of the keys to effective combustion. Engine misfires and equipment stalls are indications of a faulty ignition coil. If the equipment starts then shuts down, the coil may be damaged or loose. A machine that won't restart while it's hot is also a sign of a bad coil that needs replacement. This OEM replacement part is sourced straight from the manufacturer. It works with specific models of pressure washers, generators, lawnmowers, and small engines from Craftsman, Briggs & Stratton, MTD, Toro, and Husqvarna. It is sold individually.
