Oven won't heat after self-cleaning? This high-limit thermostat cuts power when temperatures get too high. Moderately easy DIY repair fix.
Online chat here said that the oven sensor should be replaced. I got the feeling that was a bit off, so I went with my gut and ordered the thermostat as well. Replaced the sensor and that didn't fix it. Replaced the thermostat and it worked like a charm! Removed old thermostat and pulled old thermocouple fron oven. ran new thermocouple to oven and put in clip, tistalled new thermostat using 2 phillips head screws, done. Read more

Replaced the broken element with a new. They're held in by screws. I did take the back of the range off to disconnect the wires. Putting the back on the range was the hardest part of this project. Read more
