Oven won't heat or bake properly? This bottom bake element converts electricity to heat for even baking. Simple DIY fix—2 screws, 2 wire terminals.
It took no time to find where the problem was! I got my Frigidaire model number and got on-line with AppliancePartsPros.com where I have gone for over a decade for all my household repairs. Why? because they are honest, helpful, considerate, fast, and its easy to locate and SEE the exact part I need. 10 minutes after the burning of my element, one was in my cart and ordered! Done. TWO days later, the part arrived. I turned off the circuit breaker, unscrewed the two 1/4" screws and pulled off... Read more
Burner won't turn off or stuck on high? This surface element switch controls heat settings for large burners. Moderate DIY with panel removal.
After an internet search, the likely problem was a faulty "Element Switch.." I actually unplugged the stove and removed the switch (I did NOT disconnect the wires). I obtained the part number on the switch, disassembled it, observed that the contacts were highly degraded, reassembled the switch and reinstalled it back into the stove. This all provided confidence the SWITCH was faulty. One switch on the AppliancePartsPros.com website (AP2591804) looked exactly like the switch in the stove... Read more
Oven won't light or ignites with a loud pop? A faulty igniter is usually the cause. Simple DIY fix—disconnect two screws and wire nuts to replace.
My Tappan Range, which I paid a grand total of $65.00 for, and have been using since Katrina, (Katrina in 2005 is how we measure time in South Mississippi.) I live in an old house, and I am old, too. Last winter was the coldest I can remember, and my husband (older than I and far more hard-headed) used the oven like a heater. I read all user's manuals, because I use only used stuff, I can download the manuals or read them online, and it clearly stated in there NOT to use the oven as a... Read more
Oven won't heat or takes forever to ignite? This igniter creates the spark to light your gas oven. DIY-friendly repair, typically 30-40 minutes.
My Kenmore 790.74139310 gas range was taking over 30 minutes to reach 350F. It used to take a little less than 10 minutes. The problem was the ignitor for the lower gas burner. It would glow but not pass sufficient current to increase the gas flow to the lower burner. Once at temperature, there is of course loss of heat when loading the oven with room temperature food. This took too long to recover, so we did not have proper temperature for proper cooking for the first 30 to 40 minutes. Food... Read more
Chrome drip pan installs beneath range burner elements to catch spills and drips. Replaces cracked, rusted, or worn pans for a clean cooktop appearance.
I googled "drip pans for electric range" and came upon your web site as well as some others. After looking at three or four I decided to go with your company. The choices clearly described the pans available so I didn't have to guess which one would fit. The price was very good and they arrive in the mail two days after I ordered them. The drip pans fit perfectly. Thank you. Charles Cummings Read more

Burner won't heat or receptacle melted? This element receptacle kit restores power connection to range burners. DIY repair in 15 minutes with video guide.
The receptacle that held the burner element in place was broken so the burner would not make a connection and heat up. I ordered the receptacle kit. There was even an online video that showed how to make the repair. It just took a screwdriver and wire cutters and about 15 minutes and the job was done. The burner works great. Read more
Fix F1, F3, or F10 error codes and inaccurate oven temperatures with this sensor. Simple DIY replacement takes about 30 minutes with basic tools.
Bought a used Frigidaire 36 inch stove. The broiler didn't come on but the burners lit and the stove worked so I made do for about 4 or 5 years with that. Then the F10 code came up and it wouldn't stop beeping until I unplugged it. I figured the electronics/circuit board was probably bad and ordered a replacement. I was confused about what part to order. The parts list includes "Control Panel" and "Clock - Timer". Turns out the control panels are the glass panel on the front of the stove... Read more
Burner not heating or heating unevenly? This 8-inch coil element restores proper cooking temperature. Simple plug-in replacement takes minutes.
I went to a local stove parts store to find a replacement. The store ordered the element for me and promised that it would arrive the next day. I waited for seven 'working' days, but the part never came. So I went online, and found the part in AppliancePartsPros.com. I ordered it in the evening of November 5, 2014, and the part was delivered the next day, November 6 at 11.08AM! Fantastic! I don't know how they could deliver that fast. But clearly, nobody could beat that service. The part fits... Read more
Outer oven door glass panel for ranges. Replaces cracked, shattered, or broken outer glass. Installs in the door frame as the outermost layer.
I searched for my appliance and the problem. Applianceparts.com was one of the results. There was one fix-it help from a previous customer. I ordered the piece of glass and somehow it arrived at my home the VERY NEXT DAY! I couldn't believe it. So I followed the exact instructions left by the one person that wrote in. I removed 2 screws at the bottom of the door and 4 at the top which enabled me to disassemble the front and back of the door. I then cleaned all the shattered pieces of glass... Read more

If your oven won't bake or broil, the clock control board likely failed. This part regulates temperature and sends power to heating elements. DIY-friendly.
I first felt along each heating element (bake and broil) hoping to find a rough or blistered place on them. But they were both smooth with no irregular places. (replacing the elements would have been the easiest and cheapest repair. Pulled the back off the range (unplugged, of course) - checked wiring. There were no loose connections or burned wiring. I disconnected the elements and checked them with a ohmmeter (VOM) and both had continuity. Discovered that both elements used the same... Read more
Fix F10 error code or oven that won't heat with this control board. Manages temperature, timer, and heating modes. Moderate DIY repair with video guide.
I researched online and found that it was probably one of two things wrong: the heat probe or the control board (clock). Since the probe was less expensive, I ordered that on Appliance PartsPros. It arrived SO quickly, and with the repair video I easily replaced it. BUT... it still got the F10 reading. Sigh. So I found a local appliance repairman (I didn't want to replace a more expensive item if it turned out I was wrong). He was a good one: he listened to my story, said he was sure it was the...
