Replacement air duct assembly with mesh screen for dryers. Installs between drum and heater. Replace if screen is burnt, cracked, melted, or missing.
It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube. I then reversed disassembly. Dryer duct that routes hot air through the ventilation system. Replace if cracked, warped, scorched, or causing debris to attach to clothing during cycles.
I replaced the duct with the "new improved" replacement part. Hopefully it will solve the problem! Of course one of about twenty screws was unrecoverable. Had to grind the head off! Otherwise quite easy. Read more
