Microwave won't heat but runs normally? A failed diode prevents power conversion to the magnetron. This part restores heating in most microwaves.
The rectifier (a high-voltage diode) connected to the magnetron that supplies the RF energy that does the heating in the microwave was shorted. The shorted rectifier was found by using a multimeter to measure resistance which should be very high in this type of diode. After replacing the rectifier the Frigidaire microwave oven heated food normally. I thank AppliancePartsPros for sending the part so promptly. The real problem with this repair was getting this over the stove microwave oven out of... Read more
Fix unresponsive controls or erratic operation with this microwave main control board. Restores normal panel response and system functions when the board fails.
Microwave won't turn on, made popping noise, or smells like burned electrical? The noise filter often fails when solder joints arc or short out.
When using the microwave it made a frying sound and completely stopped working. Took cover off (after unplugging) and found filter coil solder joints fried. Took a chance on replacing filter. Works perfectly now. Looking at the solder joints again, under magnification, discovered they were not done properly in the first place. Use caution with cover off, there is a capacitor near the filter that could prove dangerous. Also need tamper proof torx bit to remove 2 of the cover screws, or small... Read more

Replacement mounting screw that secures panels, trim, and internal components in microwaves and wall ovens. Needed when screws are stripped, missing, or lost.
If your microwave isn't heating food or heats unevenly, the magnetron may have failed. This high-voltage tube generates microwave energy for cooking.
Replacement mounting screw secures panels, trim, and components in microwaves. Needed when original screws are stripped, missing, or lost during repairs.
I ordered a replacement handle from Appliance Parts Pro.com and installed it after watching the video at their site for a similar model. The video told of the trick on removing the door surround that allowed me to access the handle screws. I purchased new handle screws at the same time I bought the new handle. The new handle and screws were a bit different than the original but fit perfectly. Hopefully it will be more durable than the original handle. Read more
Replaces missing, stripped, or corroded mounting screws that secure your microwave to the cabinet or wall bracket. Essential hardware for safe installation.
We had a problem with the magnetron a few years ago while it was still under warranty so they sent me a new magnetron but when the repairman showed up he had a new one also and said just keep it as a spare (no charge). It's an over-the-range microwave so taking it down takes a little bit of an effort, cumbersome more than anything. Got it down to my work bench, took off the housing, checked to make sure the capacitor was discharged, removed the capacitor (diode is attached to it) and... Read more
Microwave not heating? This capacitor provides power boost to start the magnetron. Common failure causes no heating while turntable spins normally.
