This is a heat shield insulator that mounts on the inner side of the dryer door in a stacked laundry center or washer/dryer combo unit. It prevents excessive heat from transferring through the door during drying cycles, protecting the outer door surface and improving energy efficiency. Replace this insulation if it is torn, deteriorated, or missing, which can cause the door to become excessively hot to the touch or reduce drying performance.
This is a small C-clip or retainer ring that secures the idler pulley to its bracket on a laundry center. It keeps the pulley in place so the drive belt maintains proper tension against the drum. Replace this ring if the idler pulley has come loose, the drum belt slips or falls off, or the dryer drum does not spin properly.
Fix a washer that won't advance through cycles or stays stuck on one setting. This mechanical timer restores proper cycle sequencing. 1-hour DIY repair.
Replaced the washer timer. I have been able to coax a bit more life out of these timers by using electrical cleaner and/or emery paper. Cleaning is only borrowing time though. I have replaced this same part three times now, but over a (roughly) 12 year period of time and nearly daily use. Not very difficult. I would rather keep fixing this older unit than pay a service tech big dollars to repair a newer unit. (Typical experiences of friends and family members.) I also clean and store the old... Read more
This replacement shield is a direct-fit protective cover that restores the appliance's factory protection for internal components. It prevents contact with sensitive parts and helps keep wiring and controls clear of debris. What it does:
I took the front panel off and exposed the mechanism. Inside the shield is a capacitor, so I guessed that the capacitor was bad. I ordered a new shield which contains a new capacitor, installed it, and the washer now works normally again. At first the pump motor made a few clicks before it started running, so I believe the drain pump had an obstruction of some kind inside it, like a bolus of sand, that caused the motor to seize temporarily and burned out the capacitor. It's possible the... Read more

This is the blower housing that encloses the dryer blower wheel in a washer/dryer combo or laundry center unit. Replace this housing if it is cracked, warped, or damaged, which can cause poor drying performance, unusual noises, or air leaks during the drying cycle.

This terminal block provides the electrical connection point where the power cord wires attach to the dryer's internal wiring. It is typically mounted on the rear of the dryer near the power cord entry point.
