The Oven Door Seal is an OEM part for Frigidaire wall ovens and ranges. Located around the outer perimeter of the oven door, this silicone seal forms a tight insulation barrier when closed. Maintaining appropriate interior temperatures relies on an intact door seal.
Causes of a bad oven door seal can include cracking, crumbling or compression from repeated use over many years. Food debris or residue left on the seal surface may also degrade sealing ability.
Symptoms of a bad oven door seal include:
- Difficulty closing or sealing the oven door tightly
- Visible gaps around the door allowing heat escape
- Higher energy bills from the oven running excessively
- Uneven or unreliable cooking temperatures
This OEM Frigidaire oven door seal is also compatible with some Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and Kenmore wall oven models.

I needed to replace the rubber seal on my oven door Cheryl R. • St Martinville , LA • October 18, 2014
First i called sears parts direct to order this part, because that is where i purchased my electric range. they had an outrageous price of $98. unbelievable to think that such a small piece of rubber could cost that much. i also called a few other parts dealers on other websites. they also had high prices. when i called appliance parts pros they cut the cost by 50%. i am not sure if i could have found a better price because i stopped there. it is exhausting and time consuming to have to compare...

Felt/nylon "bearing" felt glide assembly for dryer drum front end support had worn nearly completely away Harlan D. • Warrenville , IL • November 19, 2014
Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. It is attached with snap metal fittings. Do not completely remove the top, just tip upright to gain access to the front interior of the dryer. Before you pull any wires from the door switch, record which color wires go to which terminals on the door switch. If you reassemble the connections incorrectly, the gas value will...

Too much heat escaping the door Michael K. • Mechanicsville , VA • June 22, 2016
Removing was easy. Pull out the ends of the seal, the ends aren't locked in. Then, pull up on each retaining clip. Each clip is held in with spring tension.
Reinstallation was easy too. Start on one end, Twist frayed end into cone-like shape and insert into one of the holes for the seal. Push in with a skewer/screwdriver. Insert first clip into the first hole. Go around in a linear fashion, inserting each clip into each hole. After the last clip is pushed in, twist the end of the frayed end...
