Fin on agitator broke agitator needed replacing Karen P. • Tyler , TX • February 05, 2018
Ordered agitator. Removed old agitator by prying up one side of the agitator and then moving the agitator around in a circle while prying up a little at a time because the clips pop off underneath separately and once a few of them come loose the remaining slide off making a clean removal rather than the "jerking-straight-up-and-into-your-face-and-neck-disaster-waiting-to -happen removal". Cleaned salt buildup from using brand name household detergent for the last 4 months (currently in rental...

The Washer Agitator Coupler Kit is an OEM part for GE washing machines. This kit includes the coupler component that connects the agitator to the washing machine's transmission. It plays a pivotal role in the washing process by transmitting rotational force from the motor to the agitator, enabling it to move back and forth and effectively clean clothes.
Symptoms of a bad Washer Agitator Coupler include:
- The agitator failing to move or moving weakly during cycles, which can result in poorly washed clothes.
- Unusual noises from the washing machine during operation, indicating a mechanical issue.
- The agitator slipping or feeling loose when manually pushed or pulled.
Causes of a bad agitator coupler can include wear and tear from regular use, excessive load sizes that strain the agitator, or material fatigue that weakens the coupler over time.
This OEM replacement part is essential for restoring proper functionality to your GE washing machine and is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

MY GE washer didn't agitate anymore. Jane P. • Mastic Beach , NY • March 21, 2014
OMG.. I was so excited when I found a simple YOUTUBE video showing me how to fix this agitator myself.. and it was SO SIMPLE!
The MEN I know, told me I would need to buy a new machine!
I did a simple search for GE AGITATOR REPAIR.. found the video, then did my search for the replacement part - an agitator coupling, which, of course, I found at AppliancePartsPros.com... they shipped it to me within 2 days! And the minute it arrived, I went into my laundry room, and completed my OWN repair in...

My 10 year old ge washing machine's agitator stopped spinning suddenly Alicia B. • El Mirage , AZ • August 28, 2015
Before buying a new ($1200) washer, I found the trouble shooting guide and decided to check if my problem was a simple fix or a complicated procedure... turns out it was the simple fix. Removing the agitator was the hardest part, it lifted straight up, but took some muscle and a belt for leverage. Then I had to remove one bolt, lift off the damaged part, and put the new part on with the one bolt. Done. Works perfectly.
