• Ice maker won't dispense ice

I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. Although the solenoid I purchased did not fix the problem, nor the "mother electronic board", or the motor, my experience with Appliance Parts Pros has been excellent. Purchased Appliance Parts Pros replacement ice maker, removed the defective unit, matched the proper wiring harness using the wiring color codes at the P and J side connectors. Approximately 1 hour following the installation, I delightfully heard the first set of cubes ! Read more

I found a video/tutorial on how to take it apart to see what was pieces were broken, then ordered the replacement parts and watched the video to put it back together again. Read more

Required new ice bin (container) which has busted up in pieces from the stress of trying to turn while half melted ice had it jammed, something had to give. Ice auger ripped itself out of the dispenser end breaking the ice container. Got new container, disassembled per the drawing, reassembled. Read more

Installed new ice maker. Had trouble finding the correct one but with the help of Appliance Parts Pros I was able to purchase the one that worked with the refrigerator. Read more

Take off freezer door and tried to take off top shelf. Never got shelf off. Made it more difficult but got it replaced. Read more
