Ordered a new screen and filter. While waiting for arrival, removed wax covered dishes. Carefully removed wax filled filter and screen cover. Stuffed paper towels in hole to absorb water and prevent wax from entering pump. Prayed ????wax had not entered pump. With plastic knife removed visible wax. Wiped out with paper towels. Used entire roll. Used hair dryer to melt remaining wax and wiped every inch of racks, wheels, glides, silverware holder, seal, floor and so forth. Oh yes I did. At 1:30... Read more

I couldn't find the filter locally and finally found it through you on line. It was easily replaced once I had the right filter. Read more

Tried cleaning them with bristled brush but just wasn't cutting it. Replaced with new. Hoping for cleaner dishes. Read more

Fixing it was extremely easy, I just followed the instructions provided in the AppliancePartsPros video. After getting the part I simply shut off the water to the fridge, unhooked the part's water lines, unclipped the head inside the fridge, installed the new one and reconnected the lines. Took about 15 minutes and likely saved $300 (what a service person would have charged). It was simple. Read more

After replacing the filter and that not fixing it, I tried other things that ultimately led me to suspect the filter housing. Filter housing is fairly simple with mechanical bypass valve disengaged when you insert the filter. Valve would allow water to flow without filter but placing filter cutoff water completely. New housing did the trick. Read more

I ordered the parts, removed the old icemaker, followed the video exactly, and put the new one in. So easy! Video was spot one. I am a 63 year old woman and had no trouble. Anyone can do this, don't pay for a repair. The filter housing was harder, you need to use a wrench to push the grip on the old filter housing to get the water lines to release. Replaced housing. That was simple but finding directions in how it I remove top of cabinet was time consuming. After two hours of searching I finally found one article that explained why there were no screws to remove. Read more
