Ikea Door, Door Glass & Parts

I searched for my appliance and the problem. Applianceparts.com was one of the results. There was one fix-it help from a previous customer. I ordered the piece of glass and somehow it arrived at my home the VERY NEXT DAY! I couldn't believe it. So I followed the exact instructions left by the one person that wrote in. There are three pieces of glass (four if you include the front glass panel on the oven door when it is closed) layered inside and in looking at the diagram I ordered #7 and #24 replacement parts. I went online to Appliance Parts Pros and with only my model # and serial # of my range, it was a simple fix! They not only had the part I needed, but they provided the expanded drawing so I could see what was needed and when I had a question and emailed them, I received a response within a couple of hours. This was an incredibly easy fix. Took 15 minutes max. Unscrewed the innermost door panel and removed the bracket that held the old glass in. Set the new glass in place, put the bracket back, and put the put panel/glass back and screwed it back in. Read more

I did a search online for inner door glass replacement pieces and came across a youtube video made by appliance parts pros. After watching the video, I was certain that this was a repair I could do myself. I ordered the glass and it arrived the next afternoon. That evening, I brought the video up on my computer, gathered a screwdriver, some gloves and a towel to lay the door on when I put it on the table. We found a video on how to change out the glass and looked fairly easy. My husband, being the skeptic that he is, wasn't on board as readily as I was but we tried it regardless. To his surprise in about 30 minutes we did it! So easy and a big thanks to Appliances Parts Pros for the part. We had the new part in 1 1/2 days...I was expecting it to be delivered in 5 days!
