Fix F95 error code or oven door that won't lock during self-clean cycle. This door lock motor assembly repair takes about 15 minutes with basic tools.
I replaced the controller to remedy the LED display issue and changed the motor latch assembly to fix the F95 error. The installation of both parts was very easy. This assembly includes the motorized latch mechanism and integrated switches that lock and unlock the oven door during the self-cleaning cycle. It secures the door shut when the oven reaches high temperatures and signals the control board when the door is properly latched. Replace this part if the oven door won't lock or unlock, the self-clean cycle won't start, or you receive a door lock error code.
I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. This rear door latch assembly secures the oven door during the self-clean cycle by engaging a motorized lock mechanism. It includes the latch motor and switch components that communicate with the control board. WITH A VOLT/METER CHECK OUT FRONT DOOR SWITCH (GOOD), CHECK OUT MICRO SWIITCHES ON REAR REAR LATCH ASSEMBLY (GOOD). CHECK VOLTAGE ON SOLENOID AFTER SELF CLEANING WAS TURNED ON WAS READING 120 VOLTS BUT SOLENOID/MOTER WOULD NOT ENGAGE. REPLACE IT WITH REAR LATCH ASSEMBLY. PROBLEM FIX Read more
