Jenn-Air Range Light, Bulb, Lamp

I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking. I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. Ordered the part, which was easy and smooth. Watched you tube video on how to repair. Took me 15 minutes. Easy as it could be. Read more

Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

I researched on the net, ordered the part, it arrived the next day. Took about 45 minutes to replace. Fairly easy fix. Read more

Removed the light covers, removed burned out bulbs, inserted replacement bulbs, reinstalled light covers. Read more

The lightbulbs were a problem for me as I did not know if they were 12 V or 120 V. But the interactive parts diagram on the website was very helpful and allowed me to order the correct bulbs very rapidly(120V is correct). They were very easy to change out except for the fact that I needed to have my 12-year-old son do part of it since his hands are smaller than mine.(and it is always good for sons to work with dads even on small projects like this.) Went to google and found "Appliance Pros" Information. Pulled up a complete diagram of the cook top. Called and ordered the Switch Kit by describing it from the diagram this was April 1, 2015. I had been told by TWO parts house that the Indicator Light part had been discounted, but you could still get the Lens.
