This is a complete plug-in cooking module for compatible Jenn-Air/Whirlpool modular cooktops. It drops into the cooktop bay and provides a pair of electric coil burners so you can swap configurations as needed.

Once you are resigned to disconnecting the exhaust fan system under the range so you can remove the range from the surrounding counter, the rest is easy. once out, its 8 screws to remove the top and 8 screws to remove the heating elements, and 2 simple wire conneop back onto the stovectors. After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. Turn off elec. Disconnect undercounter vent pipe . Raise range top a few inches and support from below . Remove screws under edge of top using screw holes in new top as guide [not all screws need to come out] .Remove two screws from center of lip of downdraft opening . Lift off old top .
