Burner won't spark or ignite? This ignition switch controls the spark module for gas range surface burners. Mounts on the valve assembly behind knobs.
Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used. At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. Ordered a new switch and replaced the switch. However, I kept the switch and fixed the stuck relay so that if the new one does the same thing after being used for a while ,I can just swap the switches and fix the stuck relay again. I will be able to repeat this process over and over and not have to buy any more switches. Read more

Actually we called Sears repair and they did a good job diagnosing and fixing the problem (Jacob). But they never supplied the part after more than a month, so we got the number from them and ordered it ourselves from you. We had already paid for it, so had them do the work. We would have fixed it ourself but could not figure out how to lift up the entire range top and videos we found were for a totally different stove top and we had no information how to get to the part to replace it.
