One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! Did a little homework and found this website, spoke with knowledgable staff who pointed me in the right direction. p.s. In doing my research come to find Maytag did little to insulate control panel from oven...

Many of the replacement parts for my 23-year old Jenn Aire cook top are showing as "unavailable" on most parts supplier web sites, but I finally found the proper replacement knobs here. They fit perfectly and now the cook-top works as it should and looks practically new again.
Now... since I don't need to buy a new cook top, I have some more cash to throw at finding that winning lottery ticket.

I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business.

Took apart the burner unit and replaced burned spade. Did not need the receptacle, so returned it, but did have to order the contact and lead wire that burned out in it, and what really caused the whole problem. That will be covered in another repair note for that part.
