This push-button door switch detects when the appliance door is closed and allows normal operation. It replaces a worn or failed door interlock to restore reliable start/stop response and user safety. What it does

  • Acts as the door-closed sensor that permits the appliance to start when the door is latched.
  • Interrupts power to drive/heating circuits when the door opens, preventing operation with an open door.
  • Stops intermittent starting or running caused by a faulty or stuck switch.
  • Helps resolve symptoms like the appliance not starting, stopping mid-cycle, or not responding to door closure.

SAFETY ALERT: Must shut off the power! The install required an electrical skill set, but for the most part, the average handyman can snap a couple of pictures or create a color scheme wire chart to ensure the female spade are landed in the proper locations; 15 to be exact.
