The Bake Heating Element is an OEM Replacement Part for Whirlpool ovens, designed with push-on terminals. It measures 14-5/8" from the front to the mounting bracket, 19" in width, and 2-1/2" from the mounting bracket to the terminal end. The mounting holes on the bracket are spaced 1-7/8" apart, center to center. The terminals are designed as 1/4" male spades and the unit is rated for 2500 Watts at 240 Volts.
Causes of a bad bake element may include repeated heating and cooling cycles over time, electrical malfunctions, or physical damage from impact or exposure to spills.
Symptoms of a faulty bake element include:
- Oven not heating up properly or taking an excessive amount of time to preheat
- Hot or cold spots within the oven cavity, leading to uneven baking
- Visible damage or discoloration to the bake element itself
- Popping or sparking noises coming from the element area
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

The stove is about 19 years old. We had a difficult time getting baked goods to be cooked on the inside as well as outside (bundt cakes especially). I replaced the oven temperature sensor probe, used a digital oven thermometer (as well as the older type) to measure the oven temp. The older, dial thermometer hit and pretty much stayed at the set 350 deg F. The digital one showed a plus/minus 20-degree fluctuation and all seems well.
