This modulating thermostat controls oven temperature by cycling the heating element to maintain consistent cooking heat. It replaces a failed temperature regulator so your oven can reach and hold set temperatures more reliably. What it does:
One of the slip nuts was seized and was twisting the line when I turned it for removal. I was able to remove the other two lines and hold the nut with a wrench and spin the switch assembly in order to disconnect this line without damaging it. I attached the new switch with the same technique.
