Kenmore / Sears Wall Oven Touch Pad

I first felt along each heating element (bake and broil) hoping to find a rough or blistered place on them. But they were both smooth with no irregular places. (replacing the elements would have been the easiest and cheapest repair. Pulled the back off the range (unplugged, of course) - checked wiring. There were no loose connections or burned wiring. Unplugged stove. Removed six 1/4 inch socket head screws from back panel. Removed back panel. Removed plug on the back of the OCB. Removed OCB. Used Philips screwdriver to remove four mounting screws (and cracked pieces of the mounting holes). If you can get to this point, installing the new OCB is pretty self explanatory. Read more

I went to the Appliance Parts Pros website and spoke with Shawn in customer service via the chat option. He was very helpful and suggested I order the thermostat for my stove. It arrived in about a week and I installed it the same day. It was a very easy install with the exception of the wiring harnesses didn’t match so I had to splice the wires together. Looked for solution on YouTube, found the possible solution. Looked up part number on AppliancePartsPros. Ordered it came in two days. Took of back, removed old board. Put in new board. plugged it in. Put back together. Worked fine. 1 hour start to finish. Cost was at least 2/3rds less than a new gas range. Read more

My husband turned the oven to cook one night and there was a loud pop noise. I read that the controller and probe controlled the oven temperature. Also read if replacing controller you should replace the overlay. So I ordered all three parts and installed myself with no problem. I took a photo with my phone prior to unplugging wires so I knew the right way to plug the wires into the new controller. Works like new. Only need a nut driver and screwdriver to repair. Job from star to finish approximately 30 minutes. Read more
