Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more

I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

Easy fix, this was an identical match to the fan that was in the oven. The only thing missing was the foam strip, that easily came off the old fan assembly and stuck to the new one. The hardest thing was finding the part, and with a picture to verify.
