Simple. Just pulled out the old and popped in the new. Rangetop looks much better, though grates and burner rings (no longer available) could use repainting with heat resistant enamel or some other treatment. Read more

Turned off 40 Amp breaker. Removed shelves from oven. Removed two screws in back panel holding element in place. Slowly pulled element free making sure wires stayed attached and not lost in oven insulation. Removed two wires from old element. Attached wires to new element. Pushed wires back into oven rear wall. Reinstalled the previously removed two screws. Turned on breaker. Total time less than 10 minutes. Read more

The knobs were perfect. However, the grommets arrived in black rather than white. A phone call to customer service informed me that this part is no longer available in white and that the site would remove the photo. Rather than return the plastic grommets I spray painted them with white Rust-oleum paint for plastic that was in the garage and they look fresh and new. Read more

I looked for D-shaped oven range knobs that were all metal and replaced them. I looked at many ovens at Sears, Best Buy, etc. in order to identify the knobs I liked, matched the GE Profile stainless steel oven I had, and then looked for the model numbers online to find the cheapest I could find. I did and they work beautifully. I used a Whirpool oven knob to replace the GE Profile knobs. Read more
