This membrane switch in a stainless finish is the touchpad/keypad behind the oven or range control console. It registers your button presses and sends them to the control board to restore reliable input when keys stop responding.

The switch membrane touchpad is the plastic display piece on the oven that holds the buttons that control the oven's essential functions. If the touchpad is worn out and the buttons are no longer responding when pushed, it might be time to replace the touchpad. Luckily replacing this part is not a difficult repair.To replace a damaged touchpad, make sure to turn off all power to the oven by unplugging the appliance or shutting off the circuit breaker. After the power to the oven is turned off, take a putty knife to pry off the old touchpad cover. Gently pull it away from the stove's control panel until it comes off. There should be enough adhesive left over to place the new touchpad back to its original place. Be sure to line up the touchpad so that it fits perfectly. Unplugged the stove. I had to remove mounting screws from under front panel. Then Remove the side panels in order to remove the trim. Under the trim there are two gold screws that hold the front panel in place. Unplug the membrane switch and remove the 4 screws that hold it in place. mount the new membrane switch and use plug it in. Then replaced all screws. Plugged stove back in.
