The recoil starter assembly is a replacement for the starter on lawn equipment. It has been sourced from the original equipment manufacturer to ensure a proper fit. The assembly allows users to start up their equipment by pulling on the starter rope. This causes the cogs to engage with the drive cup on the flywheel, so the engine can start. Over time, this assembly can start to have some wear and tear issues and might need replacement. It might have cracks or pieces broken off, including on the interior of the assembly. This could make it more difficult, or even impossible, to get the engine to start. Replacing the entire assembly could be the needed fix. The genuine OEM part is a complete assembly that includes the plastic shroud, the recoil spring, starter pulley, pull rope, and handgrip. The part can be used with lawn mowers, pressure washers, wood chippers, and other small engines. It is compatible with Tecumseh, Toro, Lawn-Boy, Cub Cadet, Craftsman, and Briggs & Stratton.
This is a recoil starter repair kit for use with pull-start engines. If the starter on an engine is not working properly, the user will not be able to get the machine started in some cases. Other times, it may take more time and effort to get it going. The starter on many lawn and garden equipment engines will start to wear out over time. They see a lot of use, and some of the components may start to break or wear down, which necessitates a replacement. Wear gloves while repairing and replacing the starter. This recoil starter repair kit works with select models of lawn and garden engines from Tecumseh and Husqvarna. The kit is sold individually, but it comes with all of the parts needed to repair the recoil starter. This is a genuine OEM part sourced from the manufacturer.
This is a recoil pull starter used in various snowblowers from major manufacturers. The recoil pull starter is a part of the starter assembly and assists with ensuring the engine gets the right amount of power to start when a user pulls the starter rope. Wear and tear or impacts can cause damage to the starter and it will eventually fail. One of the primary symptoms of a bad recoil pull starter is a slack pull cord when trying to engage the engine to use the snowblower. If this occurs, the recoil pull starter needs to be replaced.Turn off the snowblower and disconnect the spark plug wire before removing the recoil housing cap. Untie the pull rope and replace the starter with a new replacement component. Re-tension the spring with the new recoil starter before reattaching the cap that holds the pulley. Reinstall and coil the cord before reassembling other components. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual component. The recoil pull starter is designed to be compatible with snowblowers manufactured by Lawn-Boy, Toro, Tecumseh, and Cub Cadet.
This is a replacement starter solenoid kit for use on multiple lawn tractor models manufactured by Craftsman. The starter solenoid is essentially an amplifier. When the key is turned in the mower, the current is sent from the battery through the solenoid, which closes a switch, amplifying the current to what is necessary to crank the engine. Solenoids are electromechanical devices and are subject to both electrical component failure and physical wear and tear. Eventually, starter solenoids will wear out through normal use. However, they may also fail due to electrical shorts and related problems. If the engine does not crank even with a fully-charged battery, the solenoid could be the culprit. To replace the solenoid, open the hood of the lawn tractor and locate the old solenoid. Disconnect the battery cables, then disconnect the cables connected to the solenoid. Remove the mounting bolts and pull out the starter solenoid. Install the new solenoid and new wiring in the kit, and reconnect the battery. This is a genuine OEM replacement and is sold individually. It is designed to work with multiple Craftsman zero-turn riding mowers.
The recoil starter assembly includes the housing, starter pull rope, and starter grip. It attaches to the flywheel in lawn equipment engines so that when the starter rope is pulled, the recoil spring is retracted and causes the flywheel to rotate, allowing the engine to fire up. Constant starting will eventually result in the starter rope becoming loose or the entire recoil becoming seized up. If the starter rope won’t retract or if the starter is frozen and won’t engage, a replacement is needed. To install the recoil starter assembly, remove the screws that hold the housing in place, take off the old recoil and replace it with the new one. Then, replace the screws and get back to work. Always use gloves when working on equipment engines and make sure to disconnect the spark plug before beginning repairs. This recoil starter assembly is compatible with various engines from MTD and Tecumseh, including more than 150 horizontal 4-cycle engines. It may be used on tillers, generators, log splitters, or other small engines sold by Briggs & Stratton, Cub Cadet, and Tecumseh. Sold individually.
