Followed the LG owner's manual instructions for cleaning the wash "arms". After that was complete the lower arm wouldn't operate. The filter assemble was caked with calcium, so decided to replace it and the lower spray arm and the "Holder" as your catalog described it. Removal and replacement were easy. Thanks to LG NOT sending the parts THEY say are included with the dishwasher, I had to buy them in order to install the appliance. I sure hope the LG appliance performs better than their customer service. I suspected the 'circulation pump' to be the culprit. I could not find a 'circulation pump' so I deduced via the picture schematics it must be the 'casing assembly, pump' I found on the website. I have heard there have been issues with the 'drain pump' so I also ordered the 'case assembly' on this site which is an odd name for the drain pump. I ordered a tub seal to fix a gasket that let go in our LG LDS4821BB. Once I tore it apart to get the gasket out (little trouble) I also found what has made this DW stink for the last year.
