This upper oven door hinge is a position-specific hinge that supports and controls a side-swing door's movement, helping it open smoothly and seal firmly. Replacing a worn hinge restores proper alignment, closure, and heat retention.
- Provides the pivot and spring action at the door's upper mounting point
- Maintains door alignment for proper gasket contact and heat seal
- Typical symptoms of a failing hinge: door won't close fully, sags, binds/rubs, or pops open
- A poor seal from a worn hinge can lead to heat loss and uneven baking
What's included: One upper oven door hinge assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool completely before service
- Support the door; many models require removing the door to access the hinge
- Install at the factory mounting points and ensure the hinge fully engages the receiver
- After replacement, check door alignment and that the seal contacts evenly
