Burner won't heat or heats unevenly? This surface element restores even heating to your electric range. Moderate DIY—requires top disassembly.
Installed replacement burner. Not a one-to-one fit where the wiring is concerned but everything needed to effect the change out was provided with the part. It is important to make notes of what was connected to what on the old one and to compare that to the new one. I used a download of the wiring diagram to good effect because it has the color code for the wiring on it. I am an engineer and can read such things which the average DIY'r might not be able to do so the notes will help. The... Read more
Replacement oven bottom panel that forms the floor of your gas range oven cavity. Needed when original is warped, rusted, cracked, or peeling.
I replaced the Oven Igniter. After ensuring that it was the igniter, by turning on the stove and taking out the oven bottom. Watch if it turns red. If not, then either the wiring is faulty, or the igniter went bad. The bulb was due to a loose and broken light bulb, can't use any normal bulb, these ones are specially made to withstand the heat. And the oven bottom was warped due repeatedly heating up and cooling down over the years. It took a fair bit of time to get the new one in, since it was... Read more

Oven not heating or display not responding? This electronic control board manages temperature, timing, and keypad functions. Moderate DIY repair.
My 15 year old son and I examined the new parts and made a plan for how we were going to take the front off of the oven. Turns out it was fairly simple. We removed the knobs, the knob shrouds, two philip screws on the side of the head and about 6, 6mm hex sheet screws. Voila! It came apart. We carefully looked at how the old parts were assembled and simply reversed the assembly with the new parts. Since one of our parts was the entire front head, it went together quickly and it was a perfect... Read more

I ordered the new oven bottom from Appliance Parts Pros and within three days I had a brand new oven bottom. Took the old one out, the new one fit superbly. The next time I will definitely put foil or an oven liner on the bottom rack to catch the drips from the pies as the Aqua-lift cleaning system on the Whirlpool oven did not do the job. Read more

Heat-resistant seal prevents heat loss around your oven door. Replace when frayed, cracked, or causing uneven baking. Verify fit with your model number.
Ordered oven door seal Part Number Y702338 (Whirlpool AP4291897) to replace the oven door seal on 30-year old Jenn-Air model S125 downdraft slide-in range. I called AppliancePartsPros and confirmed the part number, gathered my courage and asked my son-in-law to help. Thanks to another reviewer's suggestion, we placed a piece of wood about 3/4-inch thick between each of the door hinges and the frame of the oven before removing the door (to hold the hinges open and make it easy to put the door...
